On this lecture
we will be exploring the following topics:
Introduction to Photo Editing
Photo editing is a crucial part of photography. It has been such from ever and modern digital technologies only made it easier and more fun. We will learn about D.A.M. approaches and interfaces of various photo editing software (Lightroom, CaptureOne and DarkTable).
Photo Ingestion
The instructor will give you his workflow, pressure tested and honed through years and hundreds of thousands of photos taken. We will learn about folder structures and organization, upgrade to catalogues/libraries and see how to cull our work to select only the best photographs.
Geometry Corrections
No photography system is perfect and we will learn how we can deal with different technical or circumstantial artefacts and polish our composition with cropping.
Light Corrections
We will continue our fun and easy editing process by correcting the light to bring our photographs closer to what we actually experienced.
Details
To make photographs really stand out we will also learn how to correctly remove noise, sharpen and bring out the details that captured our eyes and made us take the photograph in the first place.
Export and Publish or Share
Finally, it's time to show our work to the world. We will go through different settings meant for different media and export our photographs to publish on social media or print a physical copy.
