we will be exploring the following topics:
Light Evaluation
Taking photographs is all about catching the light. But knowing if we have correct settings to properly expose doesn't need to be difficult at all. We will start this lecture with tips and tricks that will make this process very enjoyable and easy to understand. We will demystify helpful tools like integrated exposure meter, how to set metering area and how to take control with exposure compensation.
Camera Modes
Since we want to get creative and take control, we will progress from automatic P mode to mastering a Manual mode. Along the way there is a lot of interesting fun to be have with Scenes, AI and semi-automatic modes like Aperture or Shutter priority.
Focusing
We will make sure you will never again miss a shot by not knowing where and how to focus. We will learn all about helpful automatic focus options our devices offer us and in what special circumstances it is best to switch to manual focusing.

Classroom Topics
It is not strictly necessary, but I do recommend you prepare for this lecture by working through Module I topics in the Photography 101 classroom.
Photography Device
We will be working with phones and cameras. One, the other or both, so bring whatever you use for your photography. You don't need anything fancy. But you do need something capable of taking a photograph to take part in the practical aspect of this lecture.
